Terraso: Advancing Sustainable Land Management with Offline Solutions
We recently partnered with Tech Matters' Terraso initiative to help bring their Land Potential Knowledge System (LandPKS) App offline. Terraso empowers local landscape leaders and conservationists worldwide, and their app helps farmers make informed decisions about sustainable land management. But many farmers, especially in remote areas, lack reliable internet access.
To help bridge this digital divide, we provided expertise in React Native and IoT:
- Defined the architecture for offline data collection and cloud synchronization
- Designed the approach for managing offline data across mobile devices
- Reviewed initial code and documentation to provide implementation recommendations
- Advised on building offline capabilities as core functionality rather than an add-on feature
Our guidance helped Terraso build their offline-first solution faster, enabling reliable soil data collection for farmers in areas without internet access.
