How do I set up POP3 mailboxes on my domain?
You configure you mail by going to http://www.yourdomain.com/admin/ and logging in with:-
domain name: yourdomain.com
password: account password (supplied in your welcome email)
From here, you can set up your pop boxes as you like, each with their own passwords. For example you may choose "bob@yourdomain.com" and password "mypassword3".
How do I access my POP3 mailbox from my own computer's mail client?
To access bob@yourdomain.com from a mail client on your computer (e.g. outlook), you need to configure it using the following details (from example above):-
username: bob@yourdomain.com
password: mypassword3
server: www.yourdomain.com
How do I access my mail from the web?
You can use our web-based email client called whitemail to access your email from anywhere. To access whitemail, you would go to: http://www.yourdomain.com/whitemail/ and login using (from example above):-
username: bob
password: mypassword3
How do I set up outgoing mail?
Your mail software will also usually expect an SMTP mail server for outgoing email. This should be set to your Internet Service provider's SMTP mail server and you should ask them for the necessary details. It is normal to use your ISP's outgoing mail server, as only they can verify and authenticate your connection (since you are dialed up via them) and so protect against mail server abuse by spammers. We can offer an authenticated outgoing SMTP service for an additional charge.
